AFL Players Swap Footy Jumpers for Aprons to Highlight Food Relief Need

Last week at Transit, two AFL players swapped guernseys for Transit aprons, rolled up their sleeves and volunteered alongside our team.

Changkuoth Jiath (Melbourne Football Club) and Will Hayward (Carlton Football Club) spent the day serving meals and connecting with people experiencing homelessness, family violence, social isolation and cost-of-living stress across Melbourne’s South-East.

These moments matter because they show what it looks like to stand alongside people in crisis and to reduce the stigma of asking for help.

Thank you also to HFH Auto Group for partnering with us and to our over 220 INCREDIBLE volunteers who continue to create a space of dignity and compassion at every service.
