Our volunteers are the backbone of Transit.

Every meal served, every grocery trolley packed, every conversation shared, and every act of kindness begins with people who have chosen to give their time to serve others.

Our volunteer team is made up of people from all walks of life, united by a shared desire to make a real difference in our community. Whether they're preparing meals, sorting food, welcoming guests, driving vans, cleaning, providing professional services or simply offering a listening ear, every role matters.

Many of our volunteers say they receive far more than they give. They become part of a supportive community, build meaningful friendships, develop new skills and experience the privilege of walking alongside people during some of life's most difficult seasons.

At Transit, we believe everyone has something valuable to contribute. Whether you can spare a few hours each week or help occasionally, there is a place for you.

Together, our volunteers don't just provide food - they create a place where people feel seen, valued and genuinely cared for.
